For most Arlington voters there are two primary elections on February 5; a presidential preference and choosing among candidates to compete in a special election in March to replace Jim Marzilli in the state legislature. Deciding on a presidential candidate may be easy for some, but how does one decide on a state representative?

· knowledgeable of and responsive to the needs of the district

· an advocate for a fair share of state support to meet those needs

· capable of thinking beyond the immediate issue at hand

I am convinced that Jeff Thielman possesses these qualities and more. He has public service is his DNA, is a compassionate seeker of solutions to complex social and fiscal problems, has a clear vision of a better future and is committed to making state government work for everyone.

Jeff is well prepared to effectively represent Arlington and West Medford beginning on March 4.
