Alex Cole -- Jeff will use his skills and know-how to fight for progressive priorities

I support Jeff Thielman for state representative because I believe he has the experience, the leadership skills and the commitment to effectively represent Arlington in the legislature.

I was born in Arlington and went to Arlington public schools. I have seen generations of School Committee members and other town leaders come and go. Few have been as effective at building consensus and getting results as Jeff. He secured $1 million to improve Spy Pond, fought to improve services for students with special needs and made more support services available for students struggling with math and reading.

Jeff’s record suggests he has the skill and the know-how to deliver for Arlington in the legislature. But more importantly, he is focused on progressive priorities:

I am especially pleased that Jeff has pledged to fight aggressively for more affordable housing to retain the young professionals essential to our economy. Too many of my most talented peers from Arlington High School have already moved to other states where housing is cheaper and opportunities for young people more plentiful.
