Letters to the Editor January10th Jane Biondi - Thompson parent finds Jeff Intelligent, Dedicated and Thoughtful Leader I am voting for Jeff Thielman on February 5 because he has exhibited great dedication in his role as an Arlington School Committee member. He brings intelligent and thoughtful leadership to the School Committee and will bring those same qualities to the state house as the representative for Arlington and West Medford. I first met Jeff when he ran for School Committee. As a Thompson parent, I was impressed by his dedication to the Arlington Schools and the hard work he puts into his role as a School Committee member. I met Jeff again at an informal gathering simply to talk about the schools. At this informal meeting (and another that I later hosted), Jeff answered questions straightforwardly and with meaningful explanations about School Committee decisions and his own positions regarding tough issues facing the schools. I was impressed with Jeff’s open manner, honesty, intelligence and his commitment to the job. As a School Committee member, Jeff has met with many members of the community: parents, teachers, principals and staff to listen to their concerns about the financial crises and leadership changes at the schools. He is receptive and responsive to the community. I believe he will bring those same qualities to the role of state representative. Jeff consistently exhibits strong leadership and an ability to make difficult decisions. Please join me in supporting Jeff on February 5. Jane Biondi
