Marriage Equality

I support the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court’s decision on marriage equality. Adults should be free to make commitments to whomever they choose.

The Legislature acted correctly in 2007 when it voted not to put the Court’s decision to a referendum. It is the role of the courts to protect equality under the law, and I oppose all efforts to violate this principle.

I will always oppose efforts to limit our rights by amending the Massachusetts Constitution.
