I am so pleased that Jeff Thielman is running for re-election to the Arlington School Committee. His intelligence, dedication and experience as a school leader will continue to serve the School Committee and Arlington community well.
Jeff is a strong advocate for high quality public education and throughout his six years on the School Committee has always been willing to make the difficult decisions that result in improved teaching and learning for our students.
Jeff has experienced very difficult budget decisions, he has worked collegially with other town officials, and he will use his experience with a collaborative bargaining process during our upcoming contract negotiations.
We have a great School Committee with each member bringing a tremendous amount to the table. At the same time, it is a relatively new committee with members serving in their first term. Jeff’s experience is valuable in providing a history and perspective in regard to school policy, planning and programs.
I know that Jeff will continue to work hard to ensure that every child in the Arlington Public Schools receives the finest education that we can offer.
Please join with me and vote to re-elect Jeff Thielman to the Arlington School Committee.
