It gives me great pleasure to write in support of Jeff Thielman’s campaign for the Arlington School Committee.

I feel it is especially important for Jeff to continue serving on the school committee because he possesses years of valuable experience along with being both a thoughtful and positive team member. Having met Jeff years ago I know him to be intelligent, sensitive and a good listener. And especially during these challenging times these are traits and skills we want and need to see in our community leaders.

Jeff is clearly committed to Arlington having served in a variety of capacities through the years including Town Meeting. And now, as a parent himself, having a well run, staffed and funded school system is an important goal for him as well as for all of us.

Even Jeff’s local cable show, The Public Square, which deals with a variety of topics, is interesting and educational. Check it out. It is yet another way he gives back to his community. I urge you to give one of your two votes to Jeff on April 4.
