On Saturday April 4, I will be casting one of my two votes for Jeff Thielman for the Arlington School Committee.

I have not always agreed with every vote or decision that Jeff has made. What we have agreed on over the years is the need for more resources for education and the common goal of making Arlington's schools the best they can be for our students.

After six years on the committee, Jeff is the most senior member of the board that governs the schools in our town. The next senior member has only two years of experience.

At a time when the School committee faces some very serious challenges, Jeff's experience and expertise are essential. He has learned a great deal over the last six years and will surely be a wiser public servant for our schools during the next three years.

Please join me in casting one of your two votes for Jeff Thielman on April 4.
