Everyone is well aware of the tough economic times that we find ourselves in. We need School Committee members with experience, creativity and enthusiasm to address the challenging times ahead. Jeff Thielman has spent most of his career developing creative solutions to tough problems in the education field. He has served for six years as a school committee member in Arlington, and if re-elected he will be the only member to have served more than one term. He has significant experience working with budgets, which will serve us well in these tight fiscal times. He has spent most of his professional career in the education field, most recently as executive director of the Cassin Educational Initiative Foundation. He understands how schools work.

We have always been impressed with Jeff’s enthusiasm and energy, and for staying focused on our students as the reason for improving our schools. He is a tireless worker who is always willing to answer your e-mail or return your call. We feel very fortunate to have a person of his caliber serve the youth and families of Arlington.
